इतिहास History
A few Hindu families around Boston began praying together in 1978, meeting weekly in a Knights of Columbus hall in Melrose, and that October each committee member pledged $101 towards a temple. In 1981 they bought 12 acres on Waverly Street in Ashland, and the sthapathi Ganapathy Sthapathi drew the design.
Ground was broken on 19 June 1984, with help from a loan by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, and the exterior stone cladding was finished in 1986. Once the interior was complete, a four-day grand opening was held in May 1990; the temple was expanded in 2005 and again in 2018.
