इतिहास History
The Hindu Temple Society of Southern California began building in 1981 on a hillside off Malibu Canyon Road, in what is now Calabasas. It stands outside Malibu's city limits, but the temple has always carried the coast's name.
The complex has two temples, built in concrete in the Dravidian manner: Venkateswara presides above and Shiva below. Corner shrines honour Rama, Lakshmi, Bhudevi and Krishna, with a fifth for Hanuman, and the priests keep a full round of daily rituals and festivals.
